First working session IMWMB

On January 22, 2026, at the Officers' House (Oficerski Dom) in Bitola, starting at 10:00 AM, the first working session of the Inter-Municipal Waste Management Board (IMWMB) will be held, marking the beginning of the operational phase and the fulfillment of the regional waste management system's obligations.

At this IMWMB session, mayors from 18 municipalities across the Pelagonia and Southwestern regions in their capacity as Board members, along with representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and international partners, will review the key activities that will define the upcoming period and guide the further development of the regional system.

The work of the Inter-Municipal Waste Management Board is supported by the project "Sustainable Waste Management at the Local Level," funded by Sweden and implemented by SALAR International, in cooperation with municipalities and national institutions.
