    'REGION WITHOUT WASTE' is a platform that unites all 18 municipalities from the Pelagonia and Southwest regions in their commitment to sustainable, efficient, and responsible waste management, and the creation of a modern and effective waste management system.

    The platform is supported by the project "Sustainable Waste Management at the Local Level" funded by Sweden and implemented by SALAR International.

    A modern and long-term solution for a cleaner and safer environment.

    The Regional Waste Management System (RWMS) is an exceptionally important project for the region that will provide improved infrastructure and the implementation of new waste management technologies, fundamentally changing our relationship with waste. The ultimate goal is a final transition from short-term, ad-hoc solutions and fragmented municipal services toward a systemic approach and a modern, sustainable waste management system.

    Inter-municipal waste management board

    The IMWMB is the management mechanism for the Regional Waste Management System in the Pelagonia and Southwest regions and a forum for discussion and information exchange between the municipalities in both regions. It will enable rapid and coordinated implementation of waste management plans and the alignment of operational standards for public utility companies.
