Consultative meeting with civil society organizations from the Pelagonia and Southwest regions

SALAR International, in cooperation with the municipalities of both regions, is organizing the first informative and consultative meeting with civil society organizations from the Pelagonia and Southwestern regions, with the aim of opening a constructive dialogue on the ongoing processes for establishing a modern and efficient waste management system.

The meeting is organized within the framework of the project "Sustainable Waste Management at the Local Level" and aims to create a space for the exchange of views and ideas among all active stakeholders in the processes, as well as to consider opportunities for the active, efficient, and effective inclusion of the civil sector in the next steps of the reform processes related to waste management.

At this meeting with civil society organizations, opportunities for involving the civil sector will be considered in:

• The development of the Regional Waste Management Plan 2026-2032
• The preparation and implementation of local action plans
• The improvement of public communication and
• The building of mutual trust between institutions, civil society organizations, and citizens.
